Colin Munro has blasted his second Twenty20 century to lead the Black Caps to a 40 run win in the second T20 against India in Rajkot.

Munro slammed 109 from 58 balls at the top of the order, with seven fours and seven sixes to lead his side to 196 for two batting first.

In reply, India never got going, losing regular wickets and despite a 65 from Virat Kohli and 49 from MS Dhoni, the home side finished on 156 for seven.

Black Caps captain Kane Williamson is delighted with the result.

"It was a contrasting performance from the first game but definitely an improved performance in all areas.

"We knew we had to play well to beat this Indian side and we were able to do that."

The win sets up a series decider on Wednesday morning.
