The Black Caps have completed an improbable comeback, beating Bangladesh by seven wickets in their first cricket test at the Basin Reserve.

After conceding a 56 run first innings deficit late on day four, they've rolled the tourists for 160 before reaching the 217-run target with ease.

Kane Williamson has scored his 15th test ton, finishing unbeaten on 104 and Henry Nicholls not out four after Ross Taylor earlier made 60.

In an unwanted piece of history for Bangladesh, their 595 for eight declared is the highest first innings total to lose in history.
