Is this the worst pass in rugby history?

A generous act of friendship turned into one of the most embarrassing moments in sevens history at Twickenham this weekend.

Fiji went on to win the English leg of the world series (their fourth in a row), but perhaps the highlight (lowlight?) of the weekend was a monumental stuff-up from the Samoan team.

Just three minutes into their fixture against Spain, Samoa made a break and were set to score a regulation try under the sticks.

In a true act of mateship, the player waited for his teammate to catch up to him so that he could give him the ball and thus the glory of scoring his own try.

There was only one problem, his team mate was standing in front of him. Oh dear.

In the end, it proved to be embarrassing but not costly as Samoa ran out 26-10 winners.
