Formula One great Lewis Hamilton will reunite with his former Kiwi trainer and physiotherapist Angela Cullen as his move to Ferrari begins.

Cullen first started working with the seven-time champion in 2016 when the Brit was driving at Mercedes - he went on to win four straight titles from 2017.

The Formula One website reports Cullen has joined Hamilton’s Project 44 company ahead of his new contract with Ferrari.

They parted ways in 2023 with Hamilton heaping praise on Cullen.

“For the last seven years @cullen_angela has been by my side, pushing me to be the best version of myself,” he wrote at the time.

“I am a stronger athlete and a better person because of her.”

Cullen had recently been working with Kiwi Indycar driver Marcus Armstrong.

Hamilton had his official welcome at Ferrari on Tuesday ahead of the 2025 season where he will drive alongside Charles Leclerc, who finished third in the driver standings last year.

“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days,” Hamilton posted on Instagram.

“I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today.”
